2. SCOPE AND SUMMARY
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the App or contact Bullion Apps Ltd about it.
The App is designed to work offline. It does not require an account and does not contain advertising, behavioural tracking or analytics tools. Bullion Apps Ltd does not use the App to collect, transmit, sell or share your personal information.
3. INFORMATION THE APP DOES NOT COLLECT
The App does not collect or transmit your name, email address, precise or approximate location, contacts, photographs, microphone recordings, advertising identifier, browsing history, device identifier or usage analytics.
The App does not use automated decision-making or profiling.
4. INFORMATION STORED LOCALLY ON YOUR DEVICE
The following information may be stored locally on your device:
• jokes you mark as favourites;
• groan ratings you assign to jokes; and
• basic app preferences.
This information stays on your device and is not sent to Bullion Apps Ltd. We cannot view, retrieve or remotely delete it.
You can remove favourites and ratings using the reset option in the App. You can remove all local App information by clearing the App’s storage or uninstalling it, subject to any device-backup settings controlled by you or your platform provider.
5. SHARING JOKES
Sharing is optional and begins only when you select the share button. The App passes the selected joke text to your device’s standard sharing menu. The App does not add your name, location, contacts or other personal information.
The app or service you choose from the sharing menu handles the shared text under its own privacy policy. Bullion Apps Ltd does not control that third-party service.
6. APP STORES, DOWNLOADS AND PURCHASES
Downloads and purchases are processed by the relevant app-store provider, such as Apple App Store or Google Play. Bullion Apps Ltd does not receive or store your full payment-card details or app-store password.
Apple, Google and other platform providers may process account, payment, transaction, device, diagnostic or fraud-prevention information under their own privacy policies. Bullion Apps Ltd may receive limited sales, refund, tax, territory or transaction reports for accounting, customer support and business administration.
7. INFORMATION YOU SEND TO SUPPORT
If you contact Bullion Apps Ltd, we may receive information you choose to provide, such as:
• your name and email address;
• the content of your message;
• screenshots or attachments; and
• limited device or app-version details you include to help us investigate a fault.
We obtain this information directly from you. Please do not send information that is not necessary for your enquiry.
8. HOW AND WHY WE USE SUPPORT OR BUSINESS INFORMATION
We may use information you send, and limited app-store business records, to:
• answer questions and provide support;
• investigate technical faults, complaints or suspected misuse;
• process or verify refund and purchase enquiries where information is available to us;
• maintain accounting, tax and business records;
• protect our legal rights and the security of our services; and
• comply with legal or regulatory obligations.
Our lawful bases are our legitimate interests in operating, supporting and protecting the App and our business, taking steps at your request in connection with the App, and compliance with legal obligations. Where a different lawful basis is required, we will identify and use the appropriate basis.
9. SHARING WITH SERVICE PROVIDERS AND OTHER PARTIES
We do not sell personal information.
Information sent to support may be processed by service providers that help us operate business email, hosting, technical support, record keeping or professional services. We limit access to what is reasonably necessary for those purposes.
We may disclose information where required by law, regulation, court order or a valid request from a competent authority, or where reasonably necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
10. INTERNATIONAL PROCESSING
Some app-store, email, hosting or technology providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where Bullion Apps Ltd is responsible for an international transfer, we use an appropriate legal safeguard where required, such as an adequacy regulation or approved contractual protections.
11. RETENTION AND DELETION
Local favourites, ratings and preferences remain on your device until you reset them, clear App storage or uninstall the App.
Support correspondence is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to answer the enquiry, investigate related issues, maintain appropriate records, protect legal rights and meet legal or regulatory obligations. Accounting and transaction records may be retained for the period required by applicable law.
You may request deletion of support information by emailing contact@bullionapps.co.uk. We may retain information that we are legally required to keep or that is reasonably necessary for legal claims.
12. SECURITY
Because favourites, ratings and preferences remain on your device, Bullion Apps Ltd does not transmit or store them on its systems. We use reasonable organisational and technical measures to protect information voluntarily sent to us for support. No method of electronic storage or communication is completely secure.
13. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
The App contains family-friendly jokes but does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the App. A parent or guardian who believes a child has sent personal information to Bullion Apps Ltd may contact us to request its deletion.
14. YOUR DATA-PROTECTION RIGHTS
Depending on the law that applies, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or objection to the processing of your personal information, and to request a copy in a portable format where applicable.
Because locally stored App information is not received by Bullion Apps Ltd, we cannot retrieve or delete it remotely. Use the reset option, your device settings or uninstall the App.
To exercise rights concerning information sent to support, email contact@bullionapps.co.uk. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
15. COMPLAINTS
Please contact us first so we can try to resolve your concern.
You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or another competent data-protection authority. Information about the ICO is available at www.ico.org.uk.
